Walmart'due south new AAA Angus Beef
I noticed in this calendar week's Walmart flyer, that they had AAA Bone In Striploins for $v.77/lb. I never fifty-fifty considered buying steak at Walmart in the past cause information technology was AA, but later on seeing this ad I thought I'd endeavor information technology (specially since I dear bone-in striploins). Fabricated 1 today and I was impressed! Unlike well-nigh grocery stores, they cut their steaks properly (greater than 1 inch thick). I'd say their meat is on par with Costco simply at half the price. Have whatsoever of y'all tried Walmart's new beef?

Thank you OP. Too bad my local Walmart is closed tomorrow on Victoria Day. Unfortunately, I won't be able to try their AAA beef until Tuesday at the earliest.

Just similar Costco, which is who I was comparing to. I'd prefer both not use mechanical tenderizing though.

The Walmart at Dufferin Mall was sold out of all the striploin on sale for $five.77/lb. The store employee said it wasn't just that store which was out of stock. The Victoria Day long weekend made everybody fire up their BBQ. Yesterday, I ended up buying the much more expensive rib-eye cut which is my favorite. Also bought some of the beef kebabs seen in the flyer.
My steak was good, simply I still recollect Costco's steaks from Kirkland still taste better. Next time, I'll take to try the 2 different steaks Walmart vs. Costco side by side for an bodily taste test.
Side by side rib-center steak taste test volition be a grass-fed one from Whole Foods.

I went to both Dufferin Mall and the St Clair location yesterday and neither had the os in striploins. I'm going to try st Clair again today since I don't think Dufferin Mall e'er had them.

I was looking at the Costco Prime Rib, and fifty-fifty though it says mechanically tendersized, I don't come across any needle marks. Is this a packaging error? Same for Walmart prime number rib - I don't see needle marks

It might exist hard to tell on the red meat itself, but if yous look closely at the white fat for their pre-cut roasts you'll find piddling holes on the surface.

cheers - side by side fourth dimension i'll look at the fat instead. Prime rib must exist cooked to medium to kill the bacteria in the holes.
